993 engine mounts
Guy's, I know some of you have replaced your stock 964 saggy mounts with nice new (cheaper) 993 mounts.... My question is which ones do I go for in a
C2, does anyone have the part number please?
Thanks in advance,

I replaced my original mounts with 993 375 049 05 part and two years later I am still a happy customer.

Burning Brakes
I replaced my mounts with a pair of 996 turbo/GT2 mounts. They have a 993xxx number and were cheaper then the standart 993 Mounts. I paid only ~165€ for the pair of mounts.
They fit plug&play, you´ll need only four M8 washers for the M8 bolts. The original triangle-washers didn´t fit anymore.
regards
edit: number is 993 375 049 07

Will all successive motor mounts fit the 964? (ie, 993, 996, 997).
Are Turbo mounts the same fit too?
Any comparisons as to the "stiffness" and noise transmission between the different mounts?
So many questions, and I don't even need new mounts!

Thank you guys, mine are saggy behond belief and are causing a vibration on start-up. Also, going into a sharp turn I began to think the tyres were starting to let go, but not at all, it was the engine moving from side to side!!! I guess 21 years holding all that wieght has to take it's toll eventually.........
I hope this is an easy DIY!

replaced my 964 1991 C2 engine mounts with stock 993 mounts - much cheaper - have made all the difference.
washers don't fit in as before, but perform the same job just twisted round.
let me know if you want a few pics before/after

993 motor mounts on 964
I did this just last weekend, replaced the worn stock 964 mounts with the 993 mounts, bought them from pelican.
Couple of minor things. The bolt is longer on the 993 mounts. For the drivers side, you need to lower the engine slightly to install, then jack back up to tighten.
Also, the stock 964 mounts use a triangular shaped washer that doesn't work on the 993 mounts. I just used stainless circular washers instead.
When I took the car out for a drive afterward, it was like driving a different car, made a huge difference.
I considered the Wevo mount, which seems high quality, for just a little bit more in cost, but in the end decided on the 993 mount. I use the car a lot as a daily driver, so chose the softer approach.

I understand from my P-car mech that the 964 engine mounts have diff part numbers for left and right, but the 993 versions have the same number.
So no issue with fitment of the 993 mounts?
