Judging by the link I posted a few posts up, does anyone have maybe an ingenious idea to add heat exchangers to my setup?

Could some shop fabricate heat exchange boxes? (I'm going to guess that's expensive)
Could 993 heat exchangers be adapted?

I'll probably just have to man up and not have heat.

I passed emissions in King county with a B&B exhaust, chipped DME and no cats. That was back in 1999. No visual check

Even though I love those RSR's (I used to race one),...You, dear Sir, are a masochist,...

A few years ago, I did a mid-January round trip to Seattle, sans heat, and I'll NEVER do anything like that again. I experienced the very same things you did and my teeth didn't quit rattling for 24 hours. I was even bundled up like Bibendum.

While possible, it would be VERY expensive to fabricate heat exchangers to those headers and honestly, I don't know anyone who would take on the potential liability to do so.

993 HE's can be installed but will not fit those mufflers without some work. If you need heat, this is where I'd begin the process and I'd use a custom muffler instead of the FVD unit.
