Hi,

Is there anyone out there clever enough to reprogram a std ABS ECU to RS spec ?

Or if anyone has an RS ECU ?? Cheap !

I don't believe there is any difference between the ABS units in 964 street/RS/cups. The RS/cup do use the turbo brake system with the pressure assisted boost as opposed to vacuum.

As Colin suggests, there is no difference in the ABS programming between 964RS and 964. There was a racing ABS unit produced for the 964RSR but I believe only the factory supported cars had it, or it was only available in the 94 season. There is a Racing ABS system for the 993 used in the RSR and GT2, however, it is a 4 channel system and uses different components.

I've looked into the 993 Racing system (I have one in my 964RSR) and the chips are soldered on the board, however, if you could find someone bright enough, I'm sure you could download the programming code, desolder the chip, install a socket and programmable chip.

Thank you for the update. I was led to believe the ECU's were slightly different.

The race 993 system sounds a bit complicated to fit but I'll have a look into it.
