Default Heigo fitment problem

Hi guys, got hold of a secondhand Heigo cage today and tore into the car to fit it but came up against a huge problem, the lower mount that attaches to the drivers/passengers seat belt points is in the wrong place! I can fit the cage but can not shut the doors anymore as the cage fouls the door bins! The cage could do with being an inch lower and further forward.

Any ideas??

Ok, this call for help is not going at all to plan so will try another way!!

Do any of you guys with Heigo cages live southeast/London way? Would you mind me having a look at your install?

Is it a full cage or the roll-bar? I am not familiar with Heigo but if they all mount in similar places, maybe this can help:

Thanks frank, but the Heigo mounts in slightly different way, picking up on the seat belt bolts not the seat itself.
It is a rear cage only.

Are you sure the fitment is specific to a 964 (coupe, sunroof/no sunroof)? What is the Heigo part#?

Got it - side mount. Are you sure that the roll bar piece does not simply need to be turned around?

Well after a lot of head scratching I decided to simply drill some more holes, now fits like a dream. Can't imagine what 911 this cage is for with seat belt mount holes that far down?! It is a club sport cage, maybe that has some bearing on it?

? my heigo cage fits perfectly no messin.
Sunroof cars have alower roll hoop than non sunroof cars, that wont affect the location of bolts holes.
How odd??

Strega - Sounds like I might be too late but I have a Heigo half-cage in my RS and can send some pics if it helps?

It bolts to the existing thread holes for the lower seat belt mountings with no drilling holes or other issues.

Maybe it was caused by the difference between a sunroof vs. non sunroof roll cage?

The sill design is the same on both types. If I had used the original hole the plate at the bottom of the main hoop would have sat 1.5" too high stopping the door from closing!

Mine looks the same, but with out the odd bolt hole problem.
The sunroof cage has a lower hoop, no other differences.
