Default optimum spacer for 10 x 18 ET 61 rear

I am looking to mount a set of wheels to the rear of my C2 using an 18 x10 ET 61 same as the speedlines of my turbo. I plan on running either a 265 R888 or a 275 RA1. What looks best to me is either a 7 or 10mm spacer for clearance. Anyone with experience?

Anthony,

10J wheels seem to work best on a narrow bodied car with an ET of 47. + or - a few mm won't make too much difference but it would suggest a 15mm spacer might be a better bet than 10mm.

Regards

Dave

Dave,
I guess I am having one of those days.

After trying to sort out the calculations and scratching my head, your post has made me realize how the simplest mistake overlooked can screw you up royally. I based all my calculations off measurements using the wheels I am running now which are 9.5 wide ET 44. These are tighter to the outside and leave me roughly an inch on the inside oil lines and trailing arm running a 265.

Would help if I could do basic division in my head for a 9.5" wheel. 4.75" to center vs 4.5".

getting old sucks. Amazing how easy it is to calculate when you use the correct numbers.

Needless to say now that I have the numbers correct I think anything from a 10mm to 13mm would work best for my application. My issue is my longer studs will only allow me 12mm of spacer since they only offer another .48" of thread. The steel lugs are .800" so if I space it out 13 or 14mm it will leave me roughly shy .030" or .060" of stud length which shouldn't be an issue but I prefer to play it to the side of safety when it comes to track driving. A 10mm spacer should only push out the wheel another .026" +/- with the balance moving to the inside which is what i am looking for.

I am thinking I will try this first.

I have some 3 and 7mm hub centering spacers I will try once i get the tires.

Thanks

Tony, I have a set of 15mm spacers with studs that I'm not using currently. You are more than welcome to give them a go if you like.

Ilko,
I appreciate it. I also have a set with studs. The issue is the wheels I'll be using have no relief on the backside to accommodate the protruding longer stud. I am going to play with my speedlines this weekend which have the same offset. I have 3mm 7mm without studs and 15mm spacer with studs so one or a combo should work. I am buying tires today so I should be set to go for WG advanced DE a week from Monday.
