Default ET70 on the back

Hi, just need some help here with wintertyres on rims....I found this:
- 2x 205/50R17 89H M+S 8x17 ET55
2x 225/45R17 91H M+S 8x17 ET70

Question is if this 993 rims will fit my standard 964 1993 C4, front yes, but ET70 at the back??
Price is good so they will sell them fast and I have at least 2 hours drive there

ET 70 is too much. You'll need spacers, about 15-18mm.

The only 17" ET70 993 wheels I can find on PET are winter wheels for the Targa and RS - and they are 9J width, not 8J. If correct I would imagine 225/45 tyres are very small for a 9J wheel although that may be more the norm for winter tyres.

The offset on the rears is not going to suit the 964, but nothing a 20mm spacer won't fix. I would normally reckon on getting the offset down to around the 47mm mark, but with 225/45 tyres they're going to be stretched so an offset of 50mm should keep the right side away from the oil line.

Regards

Dave
