So last friday I made a deal on a 1996 C4S. The car will be inspected tomorrow and if all goes well I should be driving it by the 23rd. Anyways, a few days after making the deal I'm looking through google images of c4s's. There are hundreds of pics to look through but a tiny picture of a black C4S caught my eye. I clicked on it and it brought me back to the original thread that hosted that picture. Funny enough, its a Rennlist for sale thread from 2005. So I'm reading the ad and notice a few similarities to the car I'm buying (mileage, red seatbelts, Fabspeed exhaust etc). I also faintly notice a rennlist sticker on the drivers side rear window.....WTF, the car I just bought has the same sticker!!!
Turns out I bought "Frank 993 C4S" old car. He sold it to a guy in Edmonton in 2005, who drove it until the summer of 2008. It was then sold to the guy I'm buying it from who only put around 1000 miles on it in the 2 summers he owned it. I pm'd Frank and he did confirm that this was his old car. He promptly sent me a picture as well as a picture of the Letter of Authenticity.

I Just think its kind of cool that through all the 100's of pics on google images I click on my new car. And that it belonged to a current and well respected rennlister!!!
Car pretty much looks the same....

I had the seller remove the turbo spoiler however and reinstall the factory trunk!

I know. I posted in this forum because I think most of you would know who Frank was as I believe he still has his 964!
I guess I'll repost it in the 993 forum!

So long as the other 2 owners didn't screw anything up you got yourself one nice car. Frank takes very nice care of his cars and he still owns 2 964's one RSA and a turbo 3.6. Although if you are in the market he has a beautiful 07 GT3 for sale that is in pristine condition in the for sale forums.

Well the guy that bought it from Frank is a wealthy car guy in Edmonton so I'm guessing he didn't mess with it too much and the guy I'm buying it from (although not a car gyuy per say) only put 1000 miles on it so I'm guessing it should be good to go!
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
