Default AC compressor pulley bearing - R&R

With the AC off (compressor not engaged), I could hear the compressor bearing squealing from inside the cabin. The bearing was actually fairly easy to r&r:

1) I used my electric impact to remove the single bolt that goes through the end of the pulley. You could also use a strap around the pulley to keep it from turning while you remove the bolt. You can then remove the front part of the AC clutch

2) Now you have access to the spring circlip on the compressor. After removing this the pulley pulls straight off.

3) The bearing is held in partly with a couple detents in the pulley that the bearing rests in. I was able to grind them off easily with a dremmel. The old bearing can now be tapped out.

4) Slide in the new bearing, use a metal punch to make new detents to secure it, and button it all back up. I did end up using a strap to tighten the single bolt through the pulley. I imagine the impact would have stripped it easily.

I was able to find the bearing here:

Compressor is nice and quiet now, when it's off.

Cheers!
