Need Part # 964 OEM RS Rear Drop Links
Hi Gents looking for the part numbers for Porsche OEM 964 left and right rear RS drop links? For reasons unknown Pelican does not sell them or list them only the fronts.
I'm installing the RS frt and rear sway bars and lowering the car. Do I even need to replace frt/rear drop links with RS pieces?
Many thanks,
Dan

Dan,
The reason that there are no listings for rear RS droplinks is that they are the same as all the others.
RS front bars do require the RS droplinks for full adjustability, however the RS bar bar uses the existing, stock ones.

Thanks Steve, I guess I can stop scratching my head. Looking at pricing Taretts are about the same.
Does anyone know the the advantages or disadvantages to using them over stock and RS oem drop links?
Thanks again,
Dan

The 964 Cups actually had adjustable rear links which was really just a male / female rod end fabricated for the control arm. Other than that, as Steve mentions, the RS is the same as stock.
The advantage of adjustable end links, such as Tarrett is that you can ensure the bar is not preloaded at ride height with driver's weight on it. This ensures the cross weights remain proper after corner balancing the car. Does it matter in a street car??? Dunno. Does it matter in a track car with monoballs, youbetcha!!!

Geoffrey, as usual I appreciate the post. Makes perfect sense. Hate to go through the pain staking corner balance of the car only to preload the suspension and everything goes out the window. I'm new to this and trying to sift through what works and doesn't work with the aftermarket pieces and OEM pieces.

$500.....they also make it much easier to do the corner balancing. Plus, they are really goodlooking!

Chakka, yep upgrading the 964 suspension is an expensive proposition if you want to do it with quality parts. I'm still getting over the sticker shock.
