Default Offset Query - 1989 C4

Hi,

all I seem to post on here is tyre/wheel conundrums, sorry, just one more:

Front - 16x8 ET22
Rear - 16x9 ET22

Will they fit?

If not, how? Am I right in thinking that the Rears should be ok, but the front may need a narrower dish? Maybe apply a little negative camber (car is barely being used and only on dry days anyway).

Many thanks for your help

Matt,

There is no way those wheels are going to fit a 964. The offsets are designed for the pre-ABS cars and need to be around the 50mm figure to suit a 964. Sorry!!

In what way will they not fit? Will the wheels protrude the arches or will the inner part of the wheel catch the inner arch?

They will stick too far out. Like Dave said, the offsets are for SC and 3.2 Carreras as well as early 944s. Can't make them work on a 964, sorry.
