Is it wise to chip a 100K miles 964?
My C2 has crossed the 100K miles mark with the original engine still untouched
I use it on weekends trips and do around 3-4 circuit events per year so I was toying with the idea of doing some performance mods.
My mechanic is trying to disuade me because he says that a performance chip doesn´t do much good to an older engine and the risk of shortening it´s remaining life are high.
What do you think? should I take this advice and keep improving only the nut behind the wheel?

It depends on what your goals are. If you want to increase performance, a chip alone won't do it all. I have a chip in mine to compensate for the LWF/AC issue, as well as to work with the poor fuel we get here in the PAC NW. (91 Octane)
