Default Heater Blower Bypass question

Posting this on behalf of another 964 owner who has just acquired a 964RS replica:

I have the bypass box fitted to my RS rep. The fans still work, but only blow outside air.

The cabin has hot air blowing into it permanently though even if the fans are off?!!!

I don't know what they did on this set up as the car is new to me but would appreciate what people suggest I should do and what they think the problem is....before I start messing it up!!

I think there's something wrong with the servo controlling the airflow and not the CCU/bypass set up itself. Remove the plastic cover below the windsscreen under the front hood and check that all 5 servos moves around as they should. You can also check the CCU and servos via the diagnostic tool if you or your garage has one.

Thanks guys, I've passed on your messages. I haven't seen the car as yet but discussions have revealed that he only gets cold air from the fans when on the blue dot. So he's going to do the relay jumper method. The only thing I couldn't find in Thomas' thread about the bypass was a recommendation for what rating of wire should be used to make the jumpers?

The hot air in one of the footwells (with the fans turned down) could well be a disintegtrated hose - he's going to check that.

I've alerted him to check for the dizzy vent that we can't see in the pics.

The wire you need isn't something special. I just took a regular wire I had on the shelf, 1,5 mm or something.
