from all the previous posts I have read on the subject (as was considering upgrade to wevo's).....think there is general agreement that its best to also improve the engine carriers (requires welding of aftermarket supports onto stock carriers).

 

Hi again. I'm a big fan of Hayden and WEVO's stuff, but for stock cars, I usually like to recommend sticking with the stock equipment, unless there is something inherently faulty with it. The 993 mounts are the same ones used on the Boxster and later cars, and except for an occasional leaky one, I think they are pretty good.

If you're motor mounts are sagging, replacing them with (any) new mounts will really tighten up your car's handling. Mine had about an inch of sag before replacing them...

Thanks Wayne. Returning the brake lines and ordering a set of engine mounts and the Rennline engine carrier reinforcement kit .

 

I've had a specialist weld the rennline gusset kit to my engine carrier. The price to bead blast and powder coat the piece is really harsh, so I was told to spray anti rust treatment and then some coats of high-temp paint. Please tell me that will be enough for the next 2 or 3 years?
