Default 964 Replacement Parts Repository

This thread is started as a list of the available "replacement" parts for 964 Members to use when searching for ways to replace worn, broken or missing parts. It is not meant as the FS+W section, as parts listed here should be made available at a nominal or no-cost basis (Shipping is another matter).

Let's keep this in the spirit of things, as if you list it here, you're willing to part with it for the benefit of another paying member to use for their cars. at either free or cheap.

Also, if you give away a part, come back and delete it from your post so it stays relatively current. k?

I'll start;
  • Stock 964 Undertray - good for sledding or for a shield at civil unrest events [strangely still AVAILABLE]
  • OBD Tach - the display works, but does not have backlighting [GONE]
  • 4 color center caps for Cup1 Rims, the color is pretty destroyed, but they cover the holes [GONE]

[EDIT] This is working out great for me so far. I have moved a couple items, and have requested a few more. Net so far is awesome [/EDIT]
I'm sure there will be more later after I rummage through a few boxes...

I have been on the receiving end of the generosity of some great Rennlisters. To deal with my guilt for obtaining some cool parts for cheap, I have made some nominal donations to Rennwish - not sure how to donate with another name tagged to the donation, tho.

So, here is my start on offering of some gems:

Used set of plug wires - from a 100K mile car. Car was running fine, but put in a new set because I like spending money. I will send individual wires if you need just a replacement for a bad wire or connector. Or for some trial and error experimentation.
Used distributor caps and rotors - not sure of length of service, but perhaps good for troubleshooting.

prices are really cheap, just cover shipping costs.

Default Door Window Slot Seals

I have a pair of the rubbers that seal the window slot along the top edge of the doors. These are the rubbers that slide into the metal strip, and they are in very good condition.

I have a left and right set, and you can have them for the cost of shipping.

I have a non working HVAC control that has buttons in good shape. If you have peeling buttons, may be good for you. I also have an almost new set of brake pads (not sure brand) that I could not get from squeaking. Others with experience could probably get them to work.

*** HVAC is spoken for now.

*** Still have brake pads.

Thanks.

There was a guy looking for replacement buttons the other day. If you were really generous, you might do a search. A few months ago, after about a year of looking, I finally found an inexpensive non-working CCU from another Rennlister and bought it just to scavenge the buttons.

various heat shields for around the engine (you know the ones with the foam that falls out)
set of aluminum lug nuts (scratched up but very usable)

Just let me know.....

I would take the pass side fog light if possible (you have a PM)

I'll take the non-working HVAC control sans buttons, but it may be worth more if you keep the buttons with the unit. I used to fix similar Mercedes HVAC controls, and I suspect the 964 units are also easily repairable. I am fine splitting the proceeds if the working unit is sold.

All I need is the defrost button. If I get it, I will send you the a/c button. Not a problem.

i've got a snoot off the air cleaner if someone wants to pay shipping. this is the little snorkel part at the end of the cleaner cover, not the cover itself.
