Default 930 to 964 bodykit

I have a 1977 911 (930), it already has a 964 front bumper/spoiler but is badly damaged and needs replacing, will I have to get a non porsche "bodykit" version of this or will an original genuine 964 bumper fit on the 930 model? Thanks...

yes, either will fit. there are plus and minus to each. The OEM has some flexability in it to make it easier to fit correctly, but the fiberglass one has better mounting options..

Is it possible to take the 930 back to its original state?

if youre asking on if you can reverse the kit, usually no issues. depends on who put it on and how much fabricating they did.

The front tub of the 964 chassis is different than the 930. Unless someone has custom added the attachment points for the 964 bumper cover, then it will not fit directly (and even then may not fit all that well). The aftermarket front bumper kits from Getty Design for instance have an early option 74-89 chassis and a later option 964 chassis option.
