That might be okay in the states here in the UK the insurance company forces you to move the car to a place of free storage to mitigate losses. Some times they send own recovery vehicle to collect and remove to one of thier agents etc

But good luck with your claim hope it goes okay for you

Thanks for all the useful information. I didn't expect to receive so much advice, but that is what Rennlist is all about.
I'll have the inspection information from my shop in the next few days and I'm hoping that this great car is not totalled - the empty spot in the garage is working on me!
