Default Adrian's book - any 2nd edition programmed?

I hope Adrian still lurks around here, so maybe he can chime in.
I have read "Auftragsnummer 964" a few times cover to cover now, and I hope/wonder if a 2nd edition is planned. For 2 reasons:

Now... How shall I put this without being nailed to a cross....

-1 Pictures are low in quality. The book deserves color pictures, and larger ones.

-2 (sorry about that one) The book is riddled with mistakes. A lot in the captions, some in the text. It is almost as if it was not proof-read. I am sure that a rennlist/author common effort would turn a great read into the perfect 964 book.

Now if the above rubs the wrong way, moderators can remove, that would also be instructive.

Check out his website

http://www.adrianstreather.com/

Underneath the 964 book it says "A completely new and revised of this book is currently being edited."

So, yes, hopefully the 2nd edition is coming out soon. Like you, I thought the first not so great...in fact I found it at a local Barnes & Noble, read it for about 15 minutes or so (in store) and decided against buying it. Great concept for a book, though, and I'd love to see one of the new ones.

P.S. he drove a 964 on 19s?? Interesting little bit of trivia.

That is exactly the type of mistake that needs to be taken out of the book.

"This site was last updated Tuesday October 20, 2009 "

Been a while since the editing started ... on a serious note I would love to see the new edition.

I greatly appreciate having my copy, but there's really no need for a second edition as long as Rennlist exists!

Adrian's book has saved my a$$ more times than I can count. I've had to reinforce my copy with tape and such, and my wife no longer allows it into the house it has so much grease on it.

A second edition would be brilliant. It may even get to live in the house for a while. But probably not for long.

I found a typo in Appendix A (producitons numbers)... it states the total amount of MY92 3.3 Turbo and Turbo S to be 756, that is the production numbers only for the Turbo.

I hope it will be corrected, the work Adrian has done is really amazing and I appreciate it a lot.

Sometimes when using Rennlist's Search function I find myself saying "What Would Adrian Say?"... so I cross reference the subject with his posts. Always worth the read. I wish he was still a frequent poster!

I have some mystery suspension bits made by RUF, but NLA. I couldn't find info on them anywhere and figured they were way too obscure for Adrian's book. Wrong. His book had a great deal of info, enough to make the RUF parts understandable and useful.

The book has some gaps, but I'd love to get my hands on a revised edition.

Ditto..and THEN SOME!

Sorry, but if your a 964 owner and left this on the shelf then you made a big mistake. Adrian has helped me so many times; through his book and directly that I must owe him years of repair fees. The 964 community owes him a debt of gratitude imo.

If you own a Turbo the book is worse than useless due to the mistakes and outright inaccuracies. Mine has never left the coffee table.....
