Default Manual raising of the spoiler

My car is going off for a respray shortly and I will be replacing the automatic spoiler with a fixed wing which bolts to the standard 964 decklid. However the spoiler control module on my car isn't working so is there any way to manually raise the spoiler in order for me to get to the fixings and remove it?

Yes. You can disconnect the cable that runs from the electric motor to the spoiler raising gearbox. You can either manually spin the cable or use a cordless drill. I had to remove my spoiler gearbox to repair a failed bearing and I use a cordless drill to test and verify that the gearbox was installed correctly.
