Marc,

Is that the one currently offered by Fabspeed? .... if not, is it an original Matter?

How do you rate the quality & fit compared to the PP brace you previously had?

Welcome to PM if you'd prefer.

Cheers ~

I just contacted Sol and they are presently out of stock and will be producing some more in November. So now is the time to get on board to see if we have enough to get a group purchase rate.

The PP bar is head-and-shoulders above the Rennline one - solid with great fit and nice finish.

The Matter bar is for my collection only (never installed) hanging on my wall - it is a real one. The Fabspeed is a copy of the Matter one.

Ahhh .... thanks for the info (and photograph - jealous!). I love the original Matter brace.

The general consensus on this board about the PP brace is very positive ... I do however, covet the aesthetics of the Matter item and I'm unsure if I would be happy with a Fabspeed replica.

Hopefully I'll find someone with a Fabspeed one and get some feedback.

The rigidity of the bar is a little irrelevant if you have normal top mounts. Any good strut brace will do, until you get monoballs and then only a very slight difference would be achieved from a good to PP brace. IMO

I got the PP last year and it made a big difference in reducing understeer in my car. Plus it hides under the trunk carpet. Stealthy.

Do you have any pics of it installed with the carpet in place?

I'll post one up later from my Mac, but the beauty lies in what you don't see. Looks completely stock and you can't tell there is a strut brace installed under the carpet.

Correct - I would think the rigidity of the bar does not matter as it is not subjected to bending forces (only tension and compression).

The rigidity of the joint to the top mount would matter though if you consider the struts and bar like a trapezoid - with cornering, the angles at the joints would tend to want to change and a good strut bar would both pull or push the other strut to keep the relationship the same (hence the tension and compresion forces) but also keep the angles the same.
