Default Porsche Leather Jacket

For the last six months or so, I have been lurking on your forum, reading, learning, and LUSTING as I look for MY 964. You guys/girls are a great resource and I really appreciate being able to see inside your world. I live in NC and check out all the "local" (250 mile radius) Craigslist ads two-times a day looking. This popped up this afternoon and I thought I would pass it on. Even without a 964, I would be interested, but I am an XL, so . . . .

Welcome to the party. You are doing yourself a huge favor by patiently looking for the right car. Have you considered looking outside of 250 miles? There are not a ton of 964s for sale these days. Depending on your region, they maybe quite limited. You can have a PPI done without being there, rennlist knows all the good shops in US. In the grand scheme of 964 ownership a $200 plane ticket to see a car is not a lot.

I saw this one today. I do not know the owner or car, but it sure looks nice:

Thanks for the welcome. I am looking for a coupe, either a C2 or C4 (it changes day to day). BlueHeeler, I tried that web-site, but got the response that I do not have "sufficient privileges to access this page". I am VERY patient and will continue looking.

Someone that's a member of PCA could check the PCA classifieds, too.

eye_soar,
Welcome to the forum, I'm in CH (well Carrboro actually). Check out some of my posts, I'm a total newbie Porscheholic... let's meet up and you can checkout my car, see the +/- and ask questions... you can never spend enough time with a 964. Good luck finding the right car!
Best,
Udo

Sorry to be negative about the jacket……but have you seen Joey Tribiani in Friends….when he looks after a Porsche 996 outside the café…He is so overwhelmed by the “ownership” that he goes for the Porsche jacket, the Porsche cap, the Porsche gloves…etc….It tacky…..why not a discrete cap…and that’s it
Btw welcome to the best forum on the planet, only helpful and nice people here ( except me nagging about jackets today)
and good luck in your search for a playmate......

it is a members-only (i.e. paying) forum which is probably why he can't access it.

Agreed about the tackiness. I have a few Porsche ball caps (discrete orange Cayenne and a Martini racing one)....a pair of Porsche Design Adidas shoes. No big labels or Porsche logo plastered on them.

You don't want to be this guy....

The icing would be if this guy doesn't even own a Porche (oops-Ferrari).

My father bought me a Chrysler varsity jacket for christmas because my wife had a 300c. I sold the car just before xmas but he still gave me the jacket. Any takers? It's never been worn.
