Why do you want to insult a DIY'r? In my experience thay are far more careful, and in some cases more skilled than shop mechanics.

That was my point....I wanted to save some time by having it done by a pro.....ended up having to do it myself anyway.

Looks like a fairly simple DIY with a few hrs work on a Sunday afternoon. I'll have to find some room in the wallet for this.

I have those waiting to be installed... need to resolve the issue with the big red brakes first...

I'm still having a bit of an issue. The distance from hat to hat is about 4.5mm too large to fit back in the car. I realize it's supposed to be a tight fit, but this will just not go. The area where the bushing flange rests on the arm has some excess material from left from the casting process. The problem with the oem style bushes is that they can not be removed easily to fine tune the fit.

Light at the end of the tunnel, though.

Hi Jonnygo1,

Can not understand if the supplier has given you the correct bushes why they shouldn't fit are you sure they have given you the right ones?

I used Powerflex bushes, they are highly rated and loads of people in the UK use them. I'm sure they would post overseas, here are there contact details, should you want to make some enquiries, www.powerflex.co.uk or sales@powerflex.co.uk or tel: +441895460033

Quick Reply: New bushings won't fit!!!! Need advice.
