Hi Russ, Johhny at Unit 11 also told me that Baz was the man when it came to 964 electrics.

I've just had a similar ABS issue on my C2 and eventually tracked it down to a duff relay (main one in the fusebox) after Jonny checked the sensor lead resistances to no avail, so I swapped some bits from my Dad's C2 to eliminate the faulty parts!

To be honest, without having the ability to swap the ABS brain, 3x relays etc with known good ones to try, then you could be there a while!

You are more than welcome to come and use my car to swap bits, as it were!

Cheers
Nick

Hi Russ,

A combination of faults is always tricky, easiest way as Nick says is to 'borrow' parts from a working car. I'd start with the relays if you can, both of mine (which are of course different on a C4) on the ABS pump were duff - I've got spares of these, need to check if they're the same. I know Jonny tried a spare ABS ECU on your car, what condition are the pins in the connector - these are known to cause problems in our warm, dry climate (not).

Nski,

That's not my car, but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere. I live in Halewood Village, about 5 minutes from Tech 9.

Seasons greetings to one and all!

Baz

Arhhhh Baz a local guy, I knew of Tech9s unit since I was a kid, as I used to hangout at a friends thatched cottages opposite.

Have to hookup sometime, as I only work only near Jaguar car showroom on the greenbelt road leading to town.

Merrry Christmas and a Happy New Year ;-)

Nice to see loadds of owners from the UK and lovely cars too!

Russ, one thing to check with the ABS - are your brake lights working? The ABS controller relies on the brake light switch to tell it if you are trying to brake - if the switch is faulty you can end up with no ABS. I had exactly this on my car, replaced the switch and all worked again.

If you're not getting any warning lights or the buzzer, a simple thing to try is to remove the piggy back connection from the ABS controller on the positive terminal. Undo it and clean it up with emery paper. I found that tip on here and it worked for me
