Word of advice, do your research on this site and make sure you order all your parts and have them in hand before you start, or it will take longer than expected. Some parts may need to come from Germany.

I used Bilsteins and H&R Greens. I told the shop that did my alignment and corner balance to set it up to RS specs and I think that is what they did.

The top nuts for the front shocks require a Hazet socket or a home made type.

Here are some posts that I started that may help you with this project. Good luck. Can't wait to see another lowered Targa.

Also check out this site if you have not already. There is another "How To" in the Technical section.

Thank you very kindly, Ceby. I have been combing through Rennlist, but I did not come across the threads you listed. I took a quick scan through them and they look to be extremely helpful. Not sure how I could manage succesful ownership of this car without Rennlist and guys like you. I sure appreciate it.

Nice, must be the shinieness that makes it look bigger than 16. Must have spacers on them too, as they fill the wheel wells nicely

Its my pleasure. Yeah the Rennlist community is great isn't it? I've learned so much about these cars and also, reading through these threads have given me confidence to do the work I have done to my car.
