Agree on the alignment. With 275 rears and RS alignment my car is a pain in the *** on the highway with 18 wheeler ruts, etc. If its a toy, do it, otherwise lighten it and try the chip and better exhaust.

Car feels lazy : Superchage it you will always have this face everytime you drive it. However just like many great things it will be costly..but worth it IMO.

Shorter 3,4,5 gears really did it for me. Oh-ya, and an obnoxiosly loud exhaust

GeorgeK:Once you feel the car is keeping you from going faster, you can lighten/stiffen/add power as needed.
I wonder how many on this forum know how these cars drive when they are to factory spec, i.e. with good condition drivetrain.

Good advice from both, and I'd add a lwt flywheel/clutch.

You're trying to accelerate a 3000# car with 250hp. No fun. Lazy is sure.

Spend my money, but don't waste it please.
Understood.

- drill your airbox cover. Great roar at 4K+ and WOT!
- primary bypass. True Porsche Cup sound. Fan noise, induction noise, mid RMP thunder, redline roar.
- Wevo motor mounts (blk). Solid, direct feel. + stability tight corners. A little more cabin roar.
- Strut brace
- Wong chip. Sharper, stronger mid range. 93 Octane. LWT Fly compat.
- Remove rear seats and trunk carpeting.

That's true and my car, at 120K miles isn't 100% fresh, but I'm constantly amazed at how well it drives anyway. My car is 20 years old and drives at least 95% as well as it did when new... or at least 90%? I've owed a couple other cars at 100K miles and those car all felt well worn! My 964 is a tank that I'll happily keep sinking money into... while enjoying its incredible driving pleasure.

What he said ^

I have a primary bypass and it does not drone. Some people like the g-pipe (secondary bypass), but it seems to be louder and not remove weight of the rear.

Spend it on the exhaust the flat 6 can make glorious sounds and go faster when it's opened up.

My neighbor who knows nothing of cars told me she heard me pulling in late one night. I park about 20 feet from her bedroom window. I said I would try to keep it down in the future. She said, “No it was no bother, that is what a Porsche is supposed to sound like.”

I agree. That is what a Porsche is supposed to sound like.

Agree w/ GeorgeK.
(though burning-out & cleaning steel inserts from front suspension bushings is something I never want to do again!)

Also, I've a feeling the Steve930T was looking for a Better-Driving-Through-Equipment solution set. Lord knows, I've been there more than once.

I already have cars with track suspension, harnesses, no heat or air etc... and don't want to go that route with this car.
I'm looking for opinions on exhaust, chips, clutch etc... What's going to make this car more fun to drive without it having exhaust drone or being difficult to drive? It feels kind of lazy or heavy now. Right now it's all stock except for H&R coilovers and Speedline wheels. I'm also looking for a fiberglass carrera tail and front splitter for it. Spend my money, but don't waste it please. Thanks.
Steve, I have an Autothority Mass flow sensor complete with chip and a Billy Boat SS single, dual out muffler, $ 2500.00 cost that I will take $1200.00 for. I have since converted my 1991 Carrera C4 to TT. Thanks, TJN

I think the primary muffler bypass will be the start and then possibly a cat bypass. Does anyone have any of this stuff available used? I found a bypass pipe on ebay by maxspeed...has anyone here bought one? I also need aero mirrors for it. What LWF should I get?
As for the suspension, I changed the bearing plates and ball joints when I did the coilovers. The bushings are all in real good shape. I may upgrade the sway bars. Any recommendations ?
I have two track cars so this one won't see anything but street driving. I just want some more power, better sound and improved handling....and cold A/C. Thanks for the info.

How did you like the mass flow sensor? I had one on a 3.2 that worked well but didn't idle well some times. It did make more power than the Wong chip and stock AFM.

As others have said, but I would put suspension toward the top of this list. It tranforms the car and makes it feel much more responsive. I used Bilstein PSS9s on my daily driver 993 and it made the car much more fun and did well for occasional track duty. My 964 has Motons which are a little much for the street (although I'm going to be driving mine diaily for a little while).

It is? I'm around -1.5 front/-2.0(or more) rear with the RSA. Drives just fine with the 225/255's now; when I had the 235/275 RA1's and could still use them as a street tire they were also fine. Not that I've ever driven this car much on the street. Old RSA racer wanted even more for the Hoosiers.
