Rear latch - worthless trivia
I was thinking about the Singer car at lunch...
So, looking over its pictures, I became drawn, jaybird-like, over a glittering piece - the rear engine lid lower latch:
I look up the part (901 512 052 00) figuring, hey, maybe I want to buff up that piece all shiny-like on my car.
So, what's it look like/how's it taken off?:
That part number, 901..., further intrigued me, so I looked up it's coverage.
(Son of a gun!) That lower latch p/n has coverage on every air-cooled 911 (& every 912) ever made.
Turns out it was one of those "Got it right the first time" parts, and was never re-designed.
And that's my worthless 964-related trivia of the day!

Nice one Lonnie, if I never learn another thing I'll die happy.
The article on the singer 911 gave me an idea to paint my fan copper as it was one of the many things on my to do list, what does everyone think of this and has anyone painted there fan a similar color.
