Default stalling when warm

Hi

when outside air is warm and the engine as well, it stalls when I brake hard or nearly stalls. It sometimes combines with the oil pressure light coming on...

is that bad? it is not good that is for sure...

cheers

Do you have access to a hammer or scantool? I would look for error codes. I would also ask how old your DME relay is? Perhaps it should be replaced.

I have a RS America with a light weight flywheel that suffered this problem. What I have learned is that if power is cut off from the battery, the DME loses it's idle programming. Once the car is re-powered and started, the DME will re-learn the proper idle, but the engine needs to be warm when it re-learns the idle or you will have problems once the car does warm up. My tech told me the re-learning takes place in the first 20 minutes or so. Another solution is to use a Bosch hammer to place the DME in learn mode after the car is warmed up. It is a very frustrating problem.
