this might be a cheap way to try out what you want to do without changing anything in your car.

you could buy white wrap http://www.rvinyl.com/wrapkits/vinyl/solidcolors.htm

as always if you try it you have to show us

Glad to see the catalog was a hit. My car's previous owner also experimented with fabric. He basically removed the piece, tacked some fabric on to it and screwed it back in place.

Probably not everyone's cup of tea but pretty easy to do.

My $30 experiment .
Guess I am bored and can't wait to get the Porsche dusted off.
the pot holes are huge here in Omaha this year so it may be a while.

I figured I would play around and see if I could add a little color to the interior.
I know some of the speedsters have a colored dash area and I like the look of some of the newer Porsche's with color matched center consoles.
so I found some vinyl wrap that is tomato red which is almost dead on to Guards Red. (the flash in the pictures messes with the true color.)

The best part is if I don't like it I can reverse the process and get back to original in minutes.

the center console came out very good. but I would give the dash a 7/10 and I don't think that will stay. I may have to get some trim rings to add some color to the dash.

May be a bit to "ricer" for the porsche faithful.
