Painted center console?

Has anyone done this? Would probably have to remove the vinyl/leather covering but I'm not sure I would have a decent surface to paint.

Are Techart interior pieces still available for the 964?

thx

under the vinyl is a decent plastic surface to be fair... would be ok to paint.

I have mine stripped, but not painted...

You may want to check with Techart's US Dealer, CEC Wheels:

Are you planning to do a white console, to match you car's exterior? That would look great, looks super on the 997. Here's a picture of a carbon wrapped console... can always re wrap it in vinyl and return it back to stock...

I would love to do this myself, but I think red would be a bit too much.
I think white would look great.

The bezels that go around the RS door pulls.

I think red accents might look sharp but, clearly, a little goes a long way. Here's some Techart inspiration from a catalog someone was nice enough to scan and upload.

That Techart seems a little over the top. But that is just my opinion.

yes that is a bit over the top, but I would love those door panels.
I never see that much techart stuff on this board, was it so over priced that no one bought it? or are they just stashed away in someones collection ?

maybe a topic for a new thread :)

That dashboard reminds me of a clown car...

Thanks Joey for the Techart catalog link!

Isn't this about the time Xmas catalogs get sent in the mail? Looking at that Techart catalog makes me feel like I a kid again looking at a JC Penny's toy catalog.

Wow what a jem find! Packed with lots of great bits of information. The perfect display of a what a top tuner did to our cars back in the day... and is still doing.....

933 wheels on the cover car? (18" Cup II style?!!)
page 18 red, black or clear turn indicator lights
page 26 I would LOVE to see a 964 with 18" Techart Cup II rims (is that a pic on the cover car?)
page 30 Good spacer information!
page 34, always good to see dyno information
page 54 door pocket comparison....
page 66 cool storage bins

Plus the look of the catalog is so period correct. So 90's, so German. Some of it is over the top, especially the interior, but I'm going to have to color print this and bind the pages and pretend it's my current day toy catalog...

Techart had some cool stuff back in the day....wonder if I could still get a "car phone"!

I phoned Techart. There's not much left available for the 964; no interior stuff
One front spoiler

thx
