I disabled my auto drive roof. Took out the drive gears and cables in the rear. Makes opening and closing 10 secs. Now, I use the windshield locks to Lock it in top up ( light goes out ). But when I open it, light stays on. I was under the assumption that the rear micro switches send a signal when the roof is full open…. Nope.
upon looking at the wiring diagram it’s all in the switches in the windshield.
mice thought of pulling the bulb in the MFD gauge.

That rarely fails. It's the locking/unlocking functions that cause the most problems.

Either switch is bad or the wire going to the front is bad. Use an ohmmeter first to check the switch (normally closed) and the wire to the front,
or the typical problem of a bad connection on the ECU circuit board. It's the O pin on the ECU. The O pin is normally at ground until the top
reaches the bottom of its movement.

Will do. Some one who got a new top before me owning it, took it to the wrong install guys or the motors got loose and once casing snapped an attach point and blended a bolt. Car frame brackets are ok. Was told the shortening or lengthening of the drive cables over the years also had mess things up.
I prefer it Manual. Have everything in a nice ziplock back to make it electric at a moments notice.
