Default Recaro seat

Ive recently fitted a pair of pole postion seats to my car, and have used the standard factory seat belt locking clasps.
The standard belt lock things are to short, they are a pain to unlock and the belt pulls on the seat side and not on the person.
Today ive had the pleasure of sitting in a 993 rsr, with allmost identical seats.
Thease seats used the standrad belts with the correct clasps, the receiver is longer and meets the top of the side of the seat!
I need the rs belt receivers.
Does anyone know the supplier or porsche part no of this part?

Hey Russ, I've had Pole Positions and SPG's in my car using Factory belts and I didn't experience the same issue you described. Before sourcing a different part, I think it may be worth your while to double-check the installation for a possible quick fix.

I utilized the Factory belt mounting bracket (part no. 24) sandwiched between the slider and seat bracket. The interior picture is from an RS but it's basically what mine look like. Is this how you installed your belts?

In that pic the receiver is flush with the seat side, my seat belt reciever is about 1-2" lower than the side of the seat!
I used the seat belt clasp from the original seat.
When i looked at that rsr today the belt clasp was fitted the same as in my car but the clasp has a longer neck on it?
Is part no 32 above different from a standard 964?
Part 24? i cant remember a 24?

Maybe i need a 24?

If you didn't use a 24, how/where did you secure the inboard belt section? Any pics? Yeah, the top of my stock belts align with the bolsters.

On the stock 993, they use the same inboard belt piece. There's a special, red RS set but I have no idea if the dimensions vary. 993.803.035.00 / 993.803.036.00

Is it possible to measure the RSR's and see if it's different from yours?

Hi Russ,
Aftermarket Recaro Pole Position and RS Recaro are not exactly the same shell and shape. In the RS original seats you **** lower. Probably SPG as Joey are more similar to RS original seats.

The seats are a little different?
I havent looked that closely if the sides are lower.

Ive just measured my seat belt clasp things and there between 6" and 7" long, i need to measure the rsr,s.
Iam goin back to the garage later ill pay alittle more attention (if the cars still there), measure and check the seats properly.

Quick pic below.

Rsr seat belt reciever is 9" long! Measured it myself, so i need a pair of belt clasps from an rs-rsr.

Which part no is for the rsr-rs belt reciever?

I could only find the RS sets in the parts catalog. Your best bet is to talk to your local OPC to see if they're, in fact, available separately. Good luck!

There lots of info, including the RS part #'s here

I took a hint from the current RS config and am routing throught the side hole instead of outside the seat, works great!

That part no relates to a kit that on pelican is over $800!
Thats over $1600 for the two seats, this includes new belts, bolts, washers, plastic covers and the 9"long belt receivers that i need.
A standard belt receiver is $150 on its own.

And using the rear belt threw the seat side isnt an option, due to being a little on the larger size

It looks like there's another option for sport seats: 964 803 183 04 / 964 803 183 05

New for around $200 or probably available from a local dismantler for less.

Russ
I know I have a pair of #24 brackets and I may have the receivers that are close to 9" long.
Drop me an e-mail and I'll check tomorrow.

Where did you get seats from? I found the same set for my C2 and I compared with my RS seat ther are missing two extra padding from them...If you compared the profile of the back cushion...extra triangle padding will provide better fit to your back.

Dear kos11-12
I am using different L plate so the seat belt receiver is lower than yours...
