Yak-52, upgraded to 400 hp. The 964 just doesn't leak enough oil for me anymore. Unfortunately, was just sued by a patent troll (legalized extortion) yesterday so the purchase may be on hold for a while until we sort this BS out.

Yes, the Sukhoi props are huge. You take-off 3-pt in them. In fact, you really just jam the throttle and left rudder (engine turns "backwards") simultaneously, count to 1, and levitate!

I used to be a pretty hardcore aerobatic guy, but after I crashed I realized that there were too many people depending on me to be around for a while. Now I've decided I'll be content to just get a good parking spot on the ramp and do a couple fly-bys.

Nice...

Yea, thats the real slippery slope that Geoffery has ahead of him, after a few thousand hours of straight and level you get the urge... I have to say my two (perhaps three but I have to admit I'm not a mile high member...) are aerobatics and helicopters, both of which tend to put you in a more precarious proximity to immovable elements of the landscape. My aero is limited to lakes, pitts and a few in a T6, having that radial out front is pure joy, couldn't imagine 400hp in the YaK...
