wow... and amazing string of cars. Are they in chronological order? If so, then I'm interested in knowing what made you go from a 993 to a 964?

very nice.

morton you ask that question like he just killed someone.. why did you go from a 993 to 964?
That is like asking why did you go from your first wife to a new one half your age? for the looks of course!!!

I was just curious as to what made him choose an older model as it seems that every model was newer than the previous (with the exception of the 356's). I could not agree more with you about the looks, but I also realize that not everyone shares the same opinion about looks ;-) Some people like the mother, some people like the daughter, I like both!

as far as selling 993 and buying 964.....2 years ago i had a 1996 C4 and sold it before major surgery....after surgery and being happy to be alive, i bought the 95 993 C2....then wanted a C4s...found nice silver black one locally but after selling the 95 993 the seller decided to keep the car so i test drove a 964 and fell in love...found my 964 in los angeles...

here are some more vehicles i scanned yesterday....

i still have my 59 sunroof coupe but should have held onto the 1953 sunrood(jade green)...original car and beautiful to drive...owned it 2 years and sold it to a guy in denmark...just don't find those cars anymore...had the original turbo trim rings/extra tranny...the ferrari was a perfect example of a red/black carb car...japanese businessman had it in SF...beautifully kept 20K miles car...another one i wish i held onto...now w/2 kids and a wife that loves nordstrom's, 2 cars is the limit and that is pushing it!!

If you don't mind, what surgery did you go through since you say you are glad to be alive?

Do you know if the jade green 356 is still in Denmark?

Vifa....i had resection surgery for diverticulitus...it is an infection in the large intestine caused by pockets that form on the intestine wall....doctors were unsure of the actual cause of the infections because they can be brought on by a cancerous growth, waste getting trapped or other digective problems such as crohns disease....

the pain is incredible and it is an unbeliveable road to go down...doctors could not perform a colon exam because i was too infected so i went into surgery not knowing whether it was cancer...the surgery consists of removing about 18" of intestine and re-attaching it...the other issue i wouldn't find out until i woke from surgery is whether i would have to have a colostomy bag for 3 months if the area was too infected to re-attach...colostomy bag for those that aren't familiar is when they basically attach your intestine to your stomach with a bag that is attached that needs emptying every day for 3 months.

i spent basically most of the summer of 2008 in and out of the hospital and finally had a 3rd infection that needed emergency surgery...

the surgery was successful thank god and i am good as new...they removed a baseball sized infectious piece of intestine and also able to remove all of the diverticuli so i am now 100% healed and feeling good as new.

i had a great surgeon dr. eric froines at group health hospital here in seattle.

i was really bummed out when all this was going on, wasn't able to drive my 96 993 C4 during the summer because of the pre-surgery pain so i sold it....when i got thru the surgery i celebrated and bought myself a 95 993 C2...when i found the C4S i fell in love with it and wanted it and sold the 95 993 but just after the sale the C4S owner decided not to sell.

selling my 95 993 turned out to be disappointing...the new owner questioned my integrity and unfortuneately he didn't know how to comunicate with me properly...problem was he didn't communicate at all and left it up to his buddies to do the talking.

i have always been forthright about my cars and this was the 1st time in 25 years of porsche ownership i had a situation with a buyer.

its water under the bridge but with better communication skills the situation would have been alot less dramatic.

heres a photo of our family after the surgery....i contracted MRSA at the hospital and had to give myself introvenus antibiotic for 2 weeks after the surgery...the gauze bandage on my forearm is covering the "pic" line which is a tube that runs thru the large vein in your arm all the way to your heart...the insert the tube while you are awake sitting in a chair...fun stuff.
