Anyone done black to grey ??

6 days worth of hard work 7 stages

1 Clean and strip original colour

2 Clean with alcohol

3 Apply colour with sponge ,a couple of coats over a few days ,does not have to be even

4 Air brush untill even, a few coats but only very lightly

5 Use 2000 grit wet and dry (dry) One pass to take paint nibs off so very smooth

6 Apply as many coats of colour sealant as you are happy with ,I did about 4 from memory with another 2000 grit wet and dry used dry agian and only one pass per panel to make smooth

7 Left for a week then zymol leather conditioned and up keep evey 6 weeks to feed leather

I have used the car all though our British summer (joke) been to the beach countless times ,had jeans on and even the dog has sat on them

Still looking good with no wear or colour bleeding through in 4 months

A question for the OP ,Did you use a leather sealant ? if not it will not last to long

No... leatherique claims that i needed no color sealant for their product.

Interesting. Never heard mention of applying a sealant. Was your dye water based? Perhaps the sealant is the key to longevity with the water based products?

Strange that it's alled dye when it is just a paint!
Superb results!
