uh oh the 911 itch. Well the time is now prices are down. Depends what you want in a car. You will see a few different ones at the GTG but I chose a 964 for a ew reasons and nothing against any other model. I say this in advance.

The 964 has the look of the older 911's but the speed comfort of the newer models. The 993 is a very attractive pcar but not a huge fan of the front but that rear is marvelous.
the 964 is almost if not just as fast and will not have the headaches of the electric system of the 96 or newer OBD2 system. I have no experience in that but have read and heard here.

the newer ones just don't do it for me unless TT.
I did look at the 930 but honestly could not find one that was not really beat up and for the same money would go with a 964 turbo 3.3l or the holy grail of the 3.6l turbo 964.

996 TT are very affordable now - from 35 - 45k seems to be the sweet spot - 420 Hp for relatively cheap money! It has me thinking - God forbid you mention that or the 996 or 996 TT forum - they will hang you from a tree - as you would be insulting there man hood!

plus water cooled but agree if I needed a daily driver I would go for the 996tt not the 996 too manyissues from RMS to bearing etc. Go and read more pictures of engines apart then here on teh 964 forum.

I am looking for a car that is affordable, under 20K. Speed is nice, but I like the wide body look. I am not even sure which model it is, but the look is what I am after. Racing and speed are not a thing for me any longer. I like a look and toys in a car now and something my wife will go in. She hates the 944 and only tolorates the 928 but she likes 911 types. Go figure. Since it is just my wife and I now, kids all gone, it is fun time for us.

You could get a 964, 3.2 or SC in that price range...

We can arrange to meet and I can guide you all there. No pre-signup, just show up. Or, if you so choose, Flowerfield is on RT 25A in St James. Takes Exit 62 (Nichols Rd) on the LIE, one exit only. You will need to head North toward Stony Brook. Take Nichols Rd all the way to the end, Rt 25A, go left. Take that until the road "T"s and go left. Still Rt 25A. Follow that until you see signs for the show. There will be people going in so finding it will not be difficult. Enterance will be on the Left. I plan on getting there around 9ish. If you want to meet somewhere, we can, just PM me for my contact info.
