Default Roof rack is done.

Finally got the roof rack all done. Used a set of thule racks, and built the rest out of an old bed cover frame from a pick up. Not the most elegant solution, and it has a slight wind noise, but at least it works, and I don't have to drive to the track 5 hours away with only the wheels on the car. Gingerman, here I come.

Would really like seeing more, bigger photos!
Those are four tires on top, right?
Especially would like detailed pics (& experience(s)) of the rain gutter attaches.

(VIR is a looong 4 hour squish for me with the tires riding shotgun.)

Nice job.
I'm guessing those are BBS wheels hiding under the tire carriers?

I wish those were ready. That is a this winter project to reseal, repaint, etc on those. So next year they will be up there.

Darrell-Engineering drawings good one. Whole lot of eyeball engineering going on. I will get a bunch of pictures in a couple of weeks, as I am actually coming back from michigan early to get the lemons car ready for next weekend(still no cage, yikes!)

Elbeee-There are 4 tires up there. Rack seemed to attach pretty normal, I used a little extra rubber under the pads to lessen scratching. I have only put a couple of miles on it so far, but the whole thing is on there pretty tight, so hopefully there will be no problems.

Tires stored like that makes this thing look like Weissach's own pitching machine from Hell.
