Yes, I have same thing on my C2, is a little less... I think it might be from the exhaust heat, at least in the back there.

Mine is still rust-free, a benefit from keeping the car in the garage and seldom driving on wet days. Your rust is not bad, but if you intend to keep the car or even to preserve resale value, it is time to get those parts out for a paint job. Choose a quality industrial paint system (clean, etch, rust primer, topcoat), and you will never see rust there again. Go cheap and you will have two problems next time: rust, plus bad paint in the way of fixing it.

I too have the same problem. It is not too bad right now, but I plan to do a top end re-build at 120K and will have them powder coated then. The p-car also has a permanent place in the garage witch helps out a lot.
