you will know .

I would suggest changing if you still have the original DMF. I just had mine replaced along with the clutch and it was a major improvement all the way around. Talk about power transfer at it's best.

if it rattles at idle the dmf is bad. I would not recommend the lightened ones they will drive you crazy at red lights. up grade the clutch to a spring center clutch. Just my 2 cents

I had an LUK DMF go bad, so it's not just the original Freudenberg ones that fail. It's worth while replacing it whenever you need a new clutch whilst you're in there for the piece of mind.
