Default Primary Bypass

Just bought a used primary bypass for $175. If I don't care for the sound, is (hat a fair price to turn it around on RL?

Nice. I've always been one to overpay. However, they're sold out at $165, so I don't feel too jilted.

I hope so. Just in time for the 4 month hibernation in the garage.

The primary bypass is fine on a cab. I tried to go cat bypass but the combination was a little loud for my tastes for a cab.

I tried just a sport cat on my cab and found it too loud. I would imagine that a primary or secondary bypass would have a similar sound.

The sound was nice, but it begins to turn a refined street car into a track car. The stock exhaust is perfect in my opinion. I like being able to hear the motor working hard at rpm rather than the exhaust.

I'm happy with the primary bypass, but I "feel" that there is less backpressure than I expected. It almost feels like there is less torque although this is actually not the case. I'm now accustomed to the sound and characteristics and am happy with the result.

I am looking for a used primary muffler bypass, let me know if you decide to sell yours.

PM me if you wnat something different. It's a Shubert made for DP. There are pics around in earlier posts. I think you could run this and a G-Pipe without being too loud and obnoxious while saving 30 or more pounds. $250 plus S&H. IIRC, I paid $400 when I got it.

OK, I installed it the other night. I really like it. There is a definite difference in the exhaust note. Not sure if I can feel the supposed 8HP gain.

Video comparison of exhaust sound here.
