Finally Friday
"...ball-of-flaming-death-scene" What????? I hope you haven't ruined the film for us.
Seriously, looking forward to seeing the film and seeing your 964 star in it.

Seriously, looking forward to seeing the film and seeing your 964 star in it.
Today is the big day! I am so fired up. (giddy?)
I already bought my tickets for the Gold Creek Guzzlers Wine and Cool Car Club to see the 7:20 show tonight.
Watch for skyrocketing prices on RED 964's starting tomorrow.
If anyone sees the movie before then, don't spoil it for me. (I don't care about the story line, I already know that from the book - I'm talking about Porsche time on the screen).
The reviews I have read so far are pretty positive. And, they usually mention "he drives a Porsche", so I guess the car at least gets noticed.
Here is a little tidbit and game for you nitpickers - after they finished filming with my car, they needed to do a couple of touch up shots out in CA (Shane wouldn't give me the money for a road trip from IN to CA), so Shane found another red '91 964. I informed him that the car might not match completely due to the flag mirrors and potentially wheels. He confirmed that was the case, but he said it would work for them anyway. So, see if you can find the flag mirrors in the film. (I'm hoping that my aero mirrors get more screen time than the flag mirrors). I was surprised at this, since the crew told us that the director Soderberg was very picky about details in his shots.
Maybe the car with the flag mirrors was used for the ball-of-flaming-death-scene.
Giddy...

Dave, she's 19. Her look was completely different when she showed up but put her in the right clothes and poses and she works well. Here's the link for more of her: Angele's shoot

I took the cab to work this morning. It was a nice cool 78 degrees at 7 this morning and a nice warm 90 coming home around noon. I havent put the top up in 7months. Guess I need to do that one of these days just for kicks
Jim, I tread very carefully with models. You just never know when they think a touch was too long, too close, too whatever. I know you're kidding, but I'm not. They are like rattlesnakes- you just don't trust 'em. I always have a "witness" with me, if I can help it.
You will probably be the only one cheering in the theater when you car is on the screen.
We are going on our first Wine Tour with the Serria Nevada PCA. I never though I be going on one of these, but we're game for giving it a try with an open mind! Hoping to see some roads I otherwise would have missed.
Thanks for the screen shot 911Jetta! My fingers are not quick enough to catch it. It think that is going to be my new desktop.
My wife still regularly goes out to the garage and sniffs Matt's butt imprint in the seat. Oh, and she now introduces the car as "Darrell and Patti's Porsche", when in the past it was "that dumb car".
Giddy....

What a great thread! Girls, insight on the movie, and humor!
