Default Your 993 for my RS America????

Somebody has some explaining to do...

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=19642

Your 993 for my RS America?
Had a baby recently and I'm looking for something softer with more creature comforts than my RS America. Of course, I could still fit a child seat in the back of the RSA, but I'd rather not...

So I've been toying with the idea of selling the RSA and buying a 993. But it might be easier to just swap cars?

For more info on my RSA go here: http://rennsportamerica.com/

If anyone's interested please let me know!

Thanks!
Ilko
Why not another 964... slightly more stock this time? Family life making you soft?

Looking over your spec list (http://rennsportamerica.com), it might indeed be better to get another car... changing front seats, adding rear seats, cage delete, maybe reinstall A/C, etc.

BTW, on your site, I can't seem to get the "how to place jack stands on the front sub frame" to work? I'd love to read up on that.

Really, if you are looking for something more comfortable, and still want to stay with a Porsche, you should look at a 996TT...

I don't want my next car to be filled with this:

Jetta, I'm trying to figure out why the link is broken, will investigate further tonight...

with the price drop in 993's they should give you their car and a few grand to make up the difference.

Yep, that's what I'm aiming for. Unless the 993 has a J-Lo butt

Congrats on the new addition. Before doing anything please take a look at how well a 993 fits a rear...and the wife. We made a couple of short trips together that way and the wife was NOT happy sitting that far forward. Fortunately my youngest is a little over 1 now so forward is an option.

So that might get you through another year before you start missiong out of family time with the pcar. That will give you time to hook things up like a switch for the airbag (if you still have one and want to have the little one ride shotgun), delete the roll cage, add back a comfortable passenger seat (that tilts for rear access...yours can stay), and build in a child seat. From what I've seen while hanging around here is that you seem to like to tweak things. Maybe this is just an opportunity to build the fastest kid hauler around.

PNine64 - good points and I am considering it.

The 993 C2S IMO is just a heavier C2. The C4S has the turbo running gear, 4-channel ABS, etc. Ideally I would convert a C4S to RWD
