Best cheapest? I recently bought a set from EBS Racing (no affiliations). I will be installing the new wires this Saturday. Last Saturday, I took them out and adjusted the valves.

There was lots of discussion on this a year or so ago. Canada's suppliers are WAY cheaper than in the US.

I remember that as well.

Now I've found a place that sells 993TT ignition wires for $330 or so, but I need to confirm they will work in our cars...

The cheap wires up here in Canada are long gone, best price I can find here is $ 776.00 CDN, best price in the US is just under $ 500.00. There is of cause always the option of after market wires, but they are not that much cheaper and who knows what you get. I have looked at the MAGNECOR 8.5 much the same price as BERU, but they say in their add that you can not install the heat shields, anyone have experience with these wires?

ILKO, please let us know what you come up with in regards to the 993TT wires. I am heading down to visit friends in Oregon next month, would be a good time to pick up a set of wires.

Suddenly UK prices look fair for the first time in many years. Delivered for £325 = approx $530

I just purchased a set from fellow rennlister Mark Robinson. He pre-cuts the beru wire and puts leads on the ends... you then reuse the exisitng boots. I thought about buying a roll of wire and the related parts but found that having Mark pre-make them was still cheaper. $159 for what I need versus $200+ for a roll plus caps.

I found ithis ad the other day (no affiliation), but it was not clear if they were selling the entire set or just six plugs at a time.... seemed way too cheap.

I believe one of the better sources for the bulk wire is: http://www.beruparts.com/category.sc...2?categoryId=9

As pictured (labeled for 993), will not fit 964. Coil wire is too short.... And you're right, only 6??? Original price appears to be for 12.

I guess I was really lucky and bought a set from a new Canadian Renllister friend for $250. Made a huge difference in the way my car ran.

Sorry all, in my preceding post I apparently had forgotten how to insert a quote from a previous post.

I bought mine at Vertex, good price (around 550 U$S) and they really made a great difference in the way the car runs... and also in fuel consumption

There's always this: (no affiliation)
Porsche 993 964 965 944 Ignition wire leads OEM Beru

I broke one of the wires off by pulling on the wire instead of the boot on the distributor side. I bought a couple of boots and the brass looking, threaded ends as shown in the above ebay post. The car is doing fine (from an ignition standpoint at least). I imagine if I had the wire, crimper, ends, boots, etc., it would be quite easy to make them as this guy is doing.

Yes last year there was a huge screw up in the the part listing and since most online vendors use the same type of software, almost all canadian dealers were selling them cheap. Now that the screw up is solved I will let you all on a little something. Last year when I herd about this screw up, I called my buddy who owns a engine shop. his cost was 85$ CAD and sold them to me at 108$. I sold a little over 20 sets mostly at 225$ USD but I did sell a few on ebay for a little over 400$ USD. If I would of known, I would of ordered a truck load. My buddy who was buying them couldn't believe it and he recently checked the listing and his cost was 470$ CAD.
