Heater Blower Elimination Question
Once and for all, can someone tell me if I can just disconnect the heater blower fan and just tie up the electrical connectors?
I see posts where folks have fabricated resistors for the wires to be reattached to but have seen other advice to just tie up the wiring and leave it.
Has anyone else done this?
Thanks!

Sorry, I understood the part about removing the coil but do I reuse the coil and then tie everything up?
What was the point of constructing that electrical contraption?
Thanks!

That's not the way to do it anymore :-)
Scroll down through the threads to the second page and you will find a thread called "my rear fan bypass box". There's a much easier way to just jump wire the relay instead of building this "little box". In the end of the thread there's now also a fix if you have any problems with battery drain with this jump wire setup.
good luck!

Thanks for the info.
But it's got me a bit irritated.
Why does FabSpeed (who are supposed to be Porsche tuners) say that you don't need to do anything to the removed wiring???

I had the same problem you had. Tried to do some research to find out what needed to be done. In the end I found that taking out the fuse and relay worked fine. No need to do anything else. Just tie up the cables. No error lights. This was on a 993. I looked at the box people where making - and was about to make one myself. Just removing the relay and fuse made perfect sense - and everything works fine on the ccu.
Good luck

So it doesn't get chilly in Honolulu? Thanks for the thread. I've been wanting to do this myself but couldn't be sure if it was as simple as Fabspeed made it sound. As usual, the knowledgeable guys on this forum help starighten things out. BTW, what bypass duct are you using?
I'll be using the Fabspeed duct block plates.
