My wife was in the passenger seat and as the girl was stroking the rear wing and commenting on how beautiful the color and car was she finally got out to ask if we were full yet!!!

I quickly packed up and moved on. She is actually used to it. I had some young girls expose themselves to me hanging out the window of their car asking if they could have my baby while she was in the passenger seat driving down the highway.

I just laugh and my inside voice says "Your a married man your a happily married man I love my wife." and everything is fine.

For what it is worth I bought my 1994 C2 in Amazon green / tan leather, 72K miles for $16750. Not quite as good a condition but mechanically sound. around 3% leakdown. Had a record of front end accident but was repaired to spec.

I also find woman gravitate to amazon or cobalt far more than any other color.
It's strange. I would buy a cobalt all day long because I happen to love the color but amazon and green cars in general always seem to be a little tough. I personally don't mind them a bit, but resale is usually a factor when I am looking at a car.

Note to self... repaint all my cars to Cobalt Blue on one side and Amazon Green on the other.

One thing about amazon is if it is not well maintained it looks lifeless. It needs to shine to impress. I recall being over Geoffrey's house and he said how he hated it so much and stripped his car down to turn it into his beautiful track car but said if his looked like mine he would have kept it. he didn't recall his looking as good but said the paint didn't shine like mine.

BTW my wife is always so kind to remind me that the girls are checking out the car and loves pointing out how they wouldn't give me the time of day without it. You have to love your wife in times like that.

I say $18K to $20k, seems to be right on target.

based on brentflyfish's quote for a '94, i say 15-18 depending if you find someone that is emotional about the color (perhaps a dude's wife falls in love with it), but, its not an easy color for reliable resale.

there are many pre-92 cars available but fewer 92-94 coupes. You need to find someone who only wants a 92-94 car.

Well I bought the car today and now I have 2 C2s...I bought a white 92 C2 last month.
It is in great shape and a good detailing should make it really shine since it has been garaged all its life. I was surprised how much the LSD makes a difference, very cool. It has power door locks, aftermarket alarm and the Alpine system is over the top with 2 big ADS power amps, ADS speakers and a very classy sub box behind the seats; my ears hurt and are ringing right now.
As for the color, I really like it and think it's pretty cool. It really changes in different light from black to blue to green. My wife really likes the color very much, so the chick magnet theory may hold some water.
Well time will tell what I will do with it...I will post some pix after I properly detail it.

Mada,
congrats.
Are you keeping the white car as well?
Given the subject of this thread, i hope it isnt too rude to inquire of the purchase price ..

Thanks! It was a bit of an impulse purchase.
Since I may resell it I don't want to give away the exact price, but I will say it was less than the numbers that were thrown around here...

Wink

well thats good because the car isn't worth more than $12-$14K in todays market...

green/tan cars are hard to sell unless well priced...

range rovers in green do pretty well

The car is actually much more blue than green; looks black in the right light too.
