Sorry...yes...I was thinking of mine when I wrote that. I'm 85. :-)

@Travis, I've always had cabs: Boxster (not that it applies here), 993, and 996. I would think the cab is less restrictive in the back, but that's IMO. I have a buddy with an '86 Targa, but never paid attention to the back. I'm now leaning toward the Targa, due to our two year old Twinadoes. They're finally at the weight to move into the OEM seats that we have for them. I didn't think about wind, since I've always had deflectors, which wouldn't work now.

Targa choices (for now painfully obvious reasons) have been limited. I'm now kicking myself over not springing for a linen grey Targa a couple weeks ago, as the only other cars I've seen are all Guards Red (no offense, I just already owned a GR p-car).

I love Steve's silver Targa (linen is too beige), and partial to Ceby's white one.

Hey Bill. I never lined up a Cab and a Targa side by side but it seemed like the Cabs would use a little space for the top. Either way...not much room. Had a "pumpkin" seat back there a couple times but the youngest is just moving into the forward facing. She thinks she's cool like her 3 year old brother now.

I was looking at a white when I got mine but he wife wasn't a fan of the color. I had a black MX5...nothing looks better...when it's clean (for me it was tough). :-)

Cleveland is not too far from Dayton. PCA is putting on the Dayton Escape soon. Might be a nice weekend.

I can't argue with your reasoning. Mine will freak when I finally find a replacement car. They can pick a 911 out almost every time one comes by.

I hope I'll never own another black car-I don't have the patience to keep it clean.

It's great OVR got to do Escape. I'd think about it, if I have another car by then, but we have season tix, and the Bengals are in town

My kids love their Porsche. I just drive it, they own it and even then my son doesn't like it when I go somewhere in it without him. Hopefully the Bengals will have a better season this year. Who Dey!!

Ceby-LOL. I have BROWNs season tix. You remember them? The Bengals roommate in the basement of the AFCN.

Anyway, there's a (non-Porsche) dealer who has had a 90 Targa sitting on his lot for 6 months. It has a lot of recs, is in nice shape, and if I can get past owning another Guards Red P-car, it would be a nice one. I'm figuring I'll make him a low-ball offer. It'll be better than what they'll get at auction.

Hey all. Ducnine was nice enough to post his VIN number on my Targa thread. There's only supposed to be 158 Targas imported into the US in 1990. Ducnine's VIN is WPOBB2967LS460254. This would lead me to believe there are at least 254 that year (and it's not a ROW). Did Porsche not assign numbers in order? Adrian note some "confusion" on 90-91 Cab serial numbers but doesn't mention Targas (page 576). Any thoughts on this?

Thank you!!

Don't forget that Canada numbers are included with the US number for NA. I have #119 of 210 (NA) for 1992. Love the Targa.

Hey 119!! I think the ROW/USA terminology comes from Adrians book (at least for me). Love to see the Targas on the track. Any chance of talking you into posting you info to https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...64-targas.html?

Here are some videos of me and my car at Mid Ohio. Mind you this was my first DE ever so I may be going a bit slow here.

Hey, they all seem to be trailing you, so you can't be doing too bad.

I been thinking about doing one of those up there. Seems like it would be fun.
