Have you seen the Fuchs replicas?

Their lawyers and/or insurance co likely insisted on the "for offroad use only".

These wheels were discussed a couple months ago;

Greg, I've seen similar legalese before.
On recollection, it's used for products looking to dodge emissions & safety regulators (e.g., cat bypasses and airbag-less steering wheels) where the customer knows (wink - wink) what it is that's being 'defeated' - or where there's a chance the product can be installed stupidly (e.g., restraint/rollbar systems).

So, what agency's being compromised/defeated, here?

To see it on wheels, for me, is puzzling.
(I would more anticipated seeing something as, "NOT intended for offroad/track use")

Thanks, Joey. I had thought of that, having seen some similar photos. Wouldn't be a bad idea for me since one of my wheels needs a refinish anyway. But, I am actually hoping for a bit more rim/lip than the Cup II's show - kind of a deeper look. I appreciate the suggestion.

After a good bit of searching, I came across this wheel, an HRE C70 from Wheel Enhancement. Kinda pricey though. I would get it in the 7.5 and 9.5 widths. I was wondering if by chance anyone else had gotten this wheel for their 964, particularly if another silver 964 had any pic's to show what it looked like. Any comments on the HRE wheels in general would also be appreciated. Or any other black center wheel suggestions too.

Thanks!
If you do upgrade and want to unload your Cups to help offset the cost, let me know. I've got stock D 90's that I'd like to upgrade...

I think I'm pointing towards the Zuffenhaus Fuchs repliicas, with the gloss black centers. Got some good info from Keith there. Very light wheels (<16 lbs) but the construction basis seems to be very strong. About 10 lbs lighter than my Cup II's, I think. Planning on 7.5" for 225/45's in front and 9's for 255/40's in rear. Fit comments? Anybody have photos of these on a silver 964?
