Are 225/45-17s that much better on the fronts? I take it there is no rub?
If you have a C4, then the 225/45-17's are the way to go. If you have the steering stops, they will not rub, but without the stops, they will hit the inner wheel well a bit.

I have a set of the re050a's on the car now, and have been pretty happy with them. They have about 5000 miles, but have about 10 days on track on them also. Pretty consistant. I have a set of the Direzza Star Specs, but haven't tried them yet. Good luck.

Do they still make the S02? I though they were onto the S02A and S03 both using the same tread as the S03 but with different compounds. I had the S02's on my turbo when I first bought it and they would never hook up. Did a lot of dancing around and were not very good when cold I used them for one ax event and they did this. Never had a tire do this since the old fiberglass belted Comp TA's

Cant comment on when they stoped producing so-2,s, i bought mine about a year and a half ago.
Never had any problems, work very well in the wet even when pushed, miles better than the dunlop sport 2000,s that i was running previous ( in the wet they would let go in a straight line never mind a bend).
Several other porsche owners i know allso back the so-2!
None of them have a 964 turbo thou.
