Default 1991 C2 for sale...CHEAP.

Get ready to

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...291316579.html

It may or may not already have the sought after "twin plug upgrade" and all she needs is a "rubber booth(?)" and she'll be in tip top shape. Oh, and Porsche fanatics need not apply, what with your weird car-buying gurus and gadgets...

One of the worst ads I have ever read. I don't keep service records? Okay, yeah, that is not important! Good luck selling that car, geez, what a crackpot.

Too bad he doesn't believe in keeping service records. There would be a whole lot more interest in his car I'm sure and he could probably get at least an additional 5K for it if he believed in them I also wonder how well the car runs missing the other 10 plugs It's always entertaining when people open their yaps and show their stupidity. I also love the "tire kickers mostly" comment. Too dumb to realize that the reason potential buyers are "tire kickers mostly" is a direct reflection on him, not the potential buyers. If he cared a little more about the car maybe a potential buyer would entertain going past the "tire kicking" stage with him & his cars.

Yeah I'm looking for a track car candidate, and well, the price is definitely right, its close to home, and I could get over the maintenance records if I got a through PPI done, but wow...the ad pretty much turns me off.

Some people are just stupid. I guess this guy is not in sales....

Surely at least the service book would be stamped, no?! I could probably get over the lack of receipts etc if at least that showed it had been looked at by someone each year or so.

I don't really trust the service book ever since I saw a stamped one for sale on ebay without the original car's information written in it...as pointed out by the seller.

he bought this for his 16 year old, then realised the insurance would be high! Nothing like planning ahead... something the seller just can't seem to manage!! T*O*S*S*E*R

DEAL! If I were at home, I'd be half tempted to show up like this:

(If we're going to play the part, we might as well try and look the part!)

Ok, I am going to wear lederhosen and make numerous references to Der Vaterland.

I find it difficult to buy anything of value from someone that cannot run a spel checkur.

If I ever decide to sell, I'm going to have trouble. My service book was stamped last back in the mid 90's. There are no service records before or since. I am keeping records of every purchase since I've bought it with documentation on my work (oil change, valve adjust, plugs, air filter, etc.) Is this my car forever w/o records to attach to a sale? Or would I have to write an ad like this and hunt for another impulse buyer like myself?

And park both of our 964s next to it, ranting about how Americans just do not have the intellect required to maintain precision German machinery, in our thick Deutsch accents. 'Dis is not how Ferdinand vould have vanted it to end up
