Left the 1/4 of paint and one of the bumper corners at the shop so they can match the paint. With that I can finish painting the spoiler and new parts for the dual exhaust setup... also going to paint the rest of the side sills and front bumper while I am at it...
Could not do much as one of the pump hoses in the aquarium got loose and I ended up with over 30 gals of saltwater all over the house... good thing we have tile all over... not fun at all spending the day cleaning all that mess... at least it happened now and not when we take our vacation. Could not imagine my inlaws having to deal with that mess...
I had the pleasure of taking apart the distributor and replacing the broken belt. Really quite easy. I really recommend the method of not taking apart the secondary shaft, and just drifing the pin instead.
Now just waiting for the drive gear pin to be sent. The last couple of trips in the car, it has been acting kind of funny. It would not start right up, and would slightly miss at low rpm, with a definate loss in power. When I got on it hard, it would ping pretty good. I was thinking the whole time it might be the dist belt, so Fri evening, I finally took the cap off and sure enough, the secondary shaft spun freely. Oh well, one more thing off of the list is almost done.
Is that going to be the daily driver? And please tell us the '64 is staying for the weekends?
No the 996tt will not be a daily driver...more of a holiday car (long weekends away) and YES the 964 is staying (spent too much on it to let it go, plus it's much purer to drive and more rewarding)....
...daily driver is Co supplied 2ltr Mondeo diesel !

you will really enjoy the boost
I drive both of mine about equally and enjoy them for the differences.

I must admit I was quite surprised by the amount of shove low down as the turbos started to blow and I've been lucky to drive a number of fast Ferrari, Audi (R8), Lotus and Maserati before....can't wait to collect it on Saturday.
