Not to be pedantic, but technically DrJupeman is right:

Back on topic,

I've got a bottle of Delvac that I've been meaning to put in, so I'm curious to see what this thread reveals...

Thanks,

Well those of us who still own a 965 will continue to call it that and recognize its intent. It is used synonymously with the car although technically it is not correct.

As far as the Delvac goes the 20/100 LSD will always make noise period. Some more so than others and changing oil won't make a difference in longevity or reduction of the noise unless you use the totally wrong stuff. Both Delvac and swepco will do the job at lubricating the parts without excessive wear but he noise can only be reduced not eliminated by additives. To be honest I have just gotten used to the noise although it sound crappy when people are watching I know it is working.

Default So many opinions..

Being new to G50 (all prior experience with 930 & 915) I've been researching this topic & 'til this thread the below info was what I was most confident to be correct.

In search of the very best loving lube for my 930 street rod's new G50/02 w/GT LSD should not be so difficult, eh?

If I had a GT LSD I'd get with Matt and buy whatever he told me to.

Unfortunately this stuff works initially but the noise still comes back with the factory unit just give it time.
