Default exhaust tip question

all,

i recently purchased a 964 exhaust tip and have an important question....i've attached a photo and wanted to know if this tip looks like the stock tip on the 964??...

as you can see it is "curved" slightly on what would be the drivers side of the tip??...this side of the tip is longer or sticks out a bit more than the passenger side of the tip...i assume it is designed like this to protect the rear bumper as the bumper would be sticking out farther on this side??

is this how they were designed??

just want to make sure i have the correct piece...

thanks,
wm

Something appears awry. But maybe it's just the angle of your photo?
Look here for views of a very 964 tip.
Look here for views of a very 993 tip.

I would speculate you may have a 993 tip if yours had that 993 'skirt' and that weird 993-shortness in length. But yours doesn't, so I don't know what you have.
But yours sure appears to have that exaggerated 993 conic-section-at-an-angle ovality. I'm stumped.

Any part numbers stamped anywhere?

Yes, looks like the correct stock piece.
